An application for registration at the place of stay or residence is a document of a unified form approved by Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs No. 984. Submitted when registering at a temporary or permanent address.

The established application form requires accurate and complete completion of the following data:

Exact permanent residence address.

Rules for drawing up an application for temporary registration.

Registration authorities have the right to delay the data verification procedure for eight calendar days or refuse to provide temporary registration if there are inaccuracies in the submitted documents or the absence of any data.

When filling out the application, the use of abbreviations or erasures is not allowed. The application must be signed directly by the applicant, as well as by the owner of the residential premises at whose address registration is carried out. When visiting the registration authority in person, the mandatory personal presence of the owner or legal representative is required (based on a notarized power of attorney).

If the applicant is a child , the data is filled out by his legal representative (parent, guardian). In this case, it is required to indicate the passport details of the representative in the appropriate fields.

About registration without ownership of living space

In accordance with the law, a month is given for registration of a minor child, but the law also stipulates that a citizen cannot stay in the Russian Federation for more than 90 days without registration.

No matter how a citizen decides to apply for temporary registration - a personal visit, through a legal representative, by mail or through the State Services website, this form is required. The service is provided in response to an appeal, a request from a citizen, and if there is no such appeal, there is no reason to register.

An online application is an electronic version of an application filled out directly on the State Services website, which becomes available only after registration and opening the “My Account” page. Is it possible to register children without consent for registration?

One of the priorities of the legislation of the Russian Federation is the protection of the rights and interests of children, which is confirmed by the special conditions for registering a child under 18 years of age and a newborn. To register your own child, you do not need to obtain the consent of other owners.

Registration of newborns is carried out within 30 days after receipt of the birth certificate on the basis of an application for permanent registration of the child and a passport. During this period, the baby is freely registered in both privatized and municipal housing. The refusal of one of the parents or other persons living at the address cannot be a reason for a ban on registration.

Refusals of registration are not provided for by law. Of course, there may be some delay in this process for various reasons. After this, the citizen has three days to appear in person at the institution and provide the original documents. However, situations when registration is refused still arise. For how long can I temporarily register?

Employees of the MFC and some migration departments claim that the maximum period for registration at the place of residence is 5 years. But in the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of July 17, 1995 No. 713, to which they refer, there is no such provision.

If you are registering in your own apartment, then the period for registering at your place of stay is not limited by law and depends on your desire. If you are registering in someone else’s living space, the period of temporary registration depends on your agreement with the landlord. However, registration is not open-ended, so you will be asked to write the start and end dates on your application.

If you decide to leave temporary housing before the end of the temporary registration period, you need to submit a free-form application with a request to remove you from the registration at your place of stay, indicating the date of departure, if known. This can be done in person, through the government services portal, or by sending a letter by mail.

After the registration period expires, you do not need to submit any applications - you will be deregistered automatically.

Permanent registration without housing rights

Registration for a private house or a new building does not always require permanent registration; in some cases, a temporary registration procedure is sufficient. This is suitable for those who are passing through the region or planning to change their place of residence.
